Sometimes when I get to see all the effort and planning an artist puts into his or her work, I find a new appreciation for it and look at it in a different way and start to find some understanding. Sometimes, though, I just say “What the hell? Seriously?”
I’m sure creating art from truck exhaust soot sounded like a great idea, but so did the free market. And I get that Sao Paolo has some of the worst air pollution in the industrialized world and Orion is likely making a statement on that, but I don’t know if that really elevates hooking a canvas and stencil up to a truck’s exhaust pipe art.
